Returns & Warranty

Last updated: 31 July 2026

1. Your 14-day right to cancel

Because we agree orders by WhatsApp, phone or email rather than face to face, EU and Maltese consumer law gives you a right to withdraw within 14 days. No reason needed.

The 14 days start the day you physically receive the goods. If an order arrives in several parts, they start when the last part arrives.

To cancel, tell us clearly before the 14 days are up:

A clear statement is enough. There is no form to fill in, though you are welcome to use the model withdrawal form in the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

2. Sending the goods back

  • Return them within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling.

  • You pay the return cost, unless the item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, in which case we cover it.

  • Include everything: cables, adapters, manuals, accessories.

  • Original packaging helps, but is not mandatory.

You may handle and inspect goods as you would in a shop. If you go further and the value drops as a result, for example a panel adhered to a roof or a fridge used on a trip, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.

3. Refunds

We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of proof you have sent them, whichever comes first.

  • We refund the price plus standard outbound delivery.

  • If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard rate.

  • Refunds go back by the same method you paid, unless you agree otherwise.

4. Where the 14-day right does not apply

The statutory right does not cover goods made to your specification or personalised for you. Everything in our standard range is covered.

5. Faulty, damaged or wrong items

This is separate from the 14-day right, and it lasts much longer.

Under Maltese consumer law, goods must match their description and be fit for purpose for two years from delivery. If they are not, you are entitled to repair or replacement, and to a price reduction or refund where those are not possible or fail.

For the first 12 months, a fault is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we can show otherwise.

What to do: message us with your name, roughly when it was delivered, what the fault is, and photos or a short video. Photos speed this up enormously, particularly for panels and fridges. We will tell you whether to return the item or whether we come to you.

6. Manufacturer warranty

Many products carry a commercial warranty from BougeRV on top of your statutory rights:

  • Yuma CIGS flexible panels — 10-year product warranty

  • Arch Pro TOPCon panels — 5-year materials and workmanship

  • Portable fridges and freezers — 2 years

  • Fans, coffee maker and accessories — 2 years

  • eWagon — 2 years

Check the product page for the exact terms. These are the manufacturer's figures and can change.

A commercial warranty is extra. It never replaces your two-year statutory rights, and you can rely on those regardless of what a warranty card says.

We handle warranty claims for you. You do not chase the manufacturer.

7. What warranties do not cover

Normal exclusions apply: accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, fair wear and tear, damage from incorrect installation or wiring, and consumables such as batteries degrading normally over time.

Worth knowing for Malta specifically: salt corrosion from marine use is not a manufacturing defect. Rinse gear with fresh water after it has been on a boat. A panel that has been adhered and then peeled off cannot be returned as unwanted, though a genuine manufacturing fault is still covered.

8. Installation

Products are supplied as goods, not as an installed system. If a fault is caused by installation, for example wrong cable size, no fuse, or an oversized array on an undersized controller, the warranty will not cover it.

Ask us before you buy if you are unsure about compatibility. It is a much cheaper conversation than the alternative.
